Residents will be aware that the Redgrave Neighbourhood Plan was formally “made” in 2022 following community consultation and examination.
In order to keep the Plan current, to reflect the latest national and local planning policy changes, and to ensure that it continues to carry full weight in forthcoming planning decisions (a status that some neighbourhood plans more than five years old have unfortunately lost), Redgrave Parish Council has resolved to undertake a review and update of the Plan.
The original Neighbourhood Plan was shaped by a cross-section of the community in the picturesque village of Redgrave in Suffolk, with residents voting in support of it at referendum. A group of around 20 volunteers assisted in its preparation, with a Steering Group of six appointed to act on behalf of Redgrave Parish Council.
The updated plan will again be guided by a Steering Group, working with a wider group of volunteers and in consultation with the village community, to ensure that it continues to reflect local priorities and aspirations.
The RNP 2026 Steering Group is:
Jon Huckle
Charley Denmark
John Milan
Chris Giddings
Elaine Brown
Andy Warnes
The update to the Redgrave Neighbourhood Plan is planned to be complete by mid-2027 and will involve consultation with the entire village by way of questionnaires and regular engagement at village events. Anyone can keep up-to-date with the development of this plan by:
